Check out the great interview I did with UBeArt gallery in California!
27 of my ceramic masks are currently installed on the 1st and 2nd floors of Chapel Hill Town Hall. They will be there through October. Masks are one of a kind, porcelain or brown stoneware. Enjoy!
I am excited to share that my piece "What's for Dinner? Strawberry, HoHo and Crubeens" has just been accepted to the Where is Warhol? exhibit in Berkeley California at UBeArt gallery!
Most recently I have been working on a new series of masks and sushi sets - all of which will soon be featured on my Ebay and Etsy shops! And coming this fall I will begin a project that uses over 300 tea bowls to create a mural! Very excited about that one!
Stay tuned and check back for updates!

Well I just realize I haven't posted here since winter! Spring has come and gone and summer is upon us! I guess that's what happens when I get busy with proposals and projects. So let me recap:
Erin and I continue to engage local communities with art projects and in March held 3 Message in a Bottle Pop-Ups at local libraries in Cary. April found us at the Children's Day Festival at Bond Park in Cary where we created a community quilt with squares designed by children from around the area. The quilt is now being exhibited at the new Cary Visual Art Gallery located in the upstairs loft above the Cary Theater coffee bar!
On a personal note, I was 1 of 3 finalists for the upcoming Your Door to Cary community art project. Although I wasn't selected it was quite an enjoyable process. I also exhibited new works in pottery at MJH gallery at the United Arts Council in Raleigh and at the Suntrust Gallery at Durham Art Guild.
Currently, I am working on a proposal for a site specific installation in Nashville and continuing to create new pieces for my mask series. In July I will be starting 2 new projects: one that will explore the ancient tradition of Tea Ceremony in Japan and a second exploring humanity's interaction with food. Stay tuned for updates as I go along!
Until then be creative and explore the many ways art manifests itself in your day to day life!
